Community

In addition to our work with Folkestone’s young people, we aim to provide a welcoming and sustainable space for the local community. Transforming the plot of disused Network Rail land that we call home is no mean feat, and we love to involve the local community in our ecological projects wherever possible.

Currently, our community mornings are paused for the winter, but through the spring and summer months we hold open access weekly sessions. We welcome anyone during these sessions who’d like to come along and help out, and join us for a cup of tea and a chat!

PAUSED FOR THE WINTER! Please check back in the spring to find out about joining our community mornings.

On Thursday mornings in the spring and summer months, between 10:30-13:30, we have an open community morning, where we help to expand upon the work that the young people do the rest of the week, including maintenance of our site and kitchen gardens, with an emphasis on recycling & upcycling. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have “green fingers” – just come along and join in!
